How Quantum Vault works
Everything the contracts do, in plain language, with the addresses to check it yourself. Figures marked live are read from Ethereum when you open this page.
Overview
Quantum Vault is a Uniswap v4 hook deployed on Ethereum mainnet, together with the QV token. The hook does two things:
- It charges a 1% fee on every swap in the pools that use it.
- It holds staking vaults, one per currency, where you can deposit ETH or an ERC-20 such as QV and withdraw it at any time.
Stakers can be rewarded in QV, minted by the hook when it collects fees. Minting is limited by QV's 1,000,000,000 supply cap. See Rewards for how this works and the current status.

The 1% hook fee
On every swap through a pool that uses the hook, the hook withholds 1% of the amount the swapper specifies (FEE_BPS = 100):
- Exact input (you choose how much you pay): 1% of the input, in the input currency.
- Exact output (you choose how much you receive): 1% of the output, in the output currency.
The fee is charged on top of the pool's own LP fee. Pools meant to charge only the 1% are created with an LP fee of 0.
Every fee is booked as protocol revenue (protocolFees), per currency, and only the owner can withdraw it. Fees never come out of staked deposits, which are accounted for separately.
Staking
Each currency has its own vault inside the hook. The site offers the ETH vault and the QV vault.
- Stake:
stake(currency, amount). For ETH, the amount is sent with the transaction. For QV, your wallet first asks you to approve the hook to move that amount. - Unstake:
unstake(currency, amount)returns your deposit and pays any pending QV in the same transaction. - Claim:
claim(currency)pays pending QV without touching your deposit.
There is no lock and no fee to stake or unstake; you only pay network gas. Staking more or unstaking also pays out your pending QV first.
Rewards
When the hook collects a fee in a currency that has stakers, it mints QV and shares it among that currency's stakers, in proportion to their stake at that moment:
- Rate.
qvPerFeeis the QV minted per 1018 units of the fee token. It starts at 1, so a fee of 1 ETH mints 1 QV. The owner can change it, up to 1,000,000 QV per whole fee token. Tokens with fewer decimals than 18 (such as USDC) mint proportionally less per unit of value. - Only when someone is staked. If nobody is staked in the fee's currency, no QV is minted for that swap.
- Instant split. QV is split among whoever is staked when the swap happens. There is no time weighting or minimum stay.
- Supply cap. The hook never mints past QV's 1,000,000,000 maximum. Near the cap, it mints only what's left, then nothing.
Current status
QV's full 1,000,000,000 supply was minted at launch, so the hook has nothing left to mint and staking does not currently produce QV rewards. QV has no burn function, so the supply cannot go back down. Staked deposits are unaffected: you can stake and withdraw at any time. The live figure QV left to mint as rewards above always shows the exact amount.
QV token
- Name Quantum Vault, symbol QV, 18 decimals, standard ERC-20.
- Maximum supply 1,000,000,000 QV, enforced by the contract.
- The only address that can mint is the vault hook, and that setting is locked forever (
minterLocked = true). - No transfer tax, no blacklist and no pause in the token.
- The official website and X profile are stored in the contract (
website(),twitter()).
Who can do what
| Who | Can | Cannot |
|---|---|---|
| Anyone | Swap, stake, unstake, claim | Move someone else's stake or rewards |
| Hook owner | Withdraw collected protocol fees; set qvPerFee up to the cap | Withdraw staked deposits; change the 1% fee |
| Token owner | Received the initial supply | Change the minter (locked) or mint |
| Vault hook | Mint QV as rewards, within the supply cap | Mint past 1,000,000,000 QV |
Risks
- No rewards at the moment. See Current status.
- Smart contract risk. The contracts can contain bugs. No audit has been published.
- Price risk. ETH and QV can lose value while staked.
- Owner powers. The owner controls the reward rate and the collected fees.
- Not financial advice. Nothing on this site is an offer or a promise of returns. Availability may be restricted where you live.
FAQ
Is there a lock-up period?
No. You can unstake any amount at any time.
Does staking cost a fee?
No. Only network gas. The 1% fee applies to swaps, not to staking.
Where does the 1% swap fee go?
It is held by the hook as protocol revenue and can be withdrawn by the owner.
Can the owner take my stake?
No. The owner can only withdraw the amounts booked as protocol fees, which are tracked apart from staked deposits.
Does Quantum Vault protect against quantum computers?
No. "Quantum Vault" is the project's name. Staking and withdrawals use standard Ethereum accounts and signatures.
Which wallets work?
Any browser wallet on Ethereum mainnet, such as MetaMask, Rabby or Coinbase Wallet. On mobile, open the site from your wallet app's browser.
